I detest the written word as woefully inadequate for what I am, a storyteller, Writing rarely captures the full richness of a good tale. Doesn't stop most writers. In fact, they often plow doggedly ahead,dazzling the reader with words while their story languishes. If I wanted to visit words I could use a dictionary. Words are hints, connections between the reader and the story, If they fail in this it does not matter how pretty they are.
