I am a painter and writer who has published two Young Adult novels based on my Cuban roots. I was born in Havana and at the age of eight witnessed the soul shaking, mind altering, second Cuban revolution. Soon afterwards my brothers and I left the country alone. The distance from home and family caused gravity to lose it's grip and that's when I learned to float, that's when I became an artist. I live in New york city with my family, Chico the dog, and the paintings in the museums that have kept me enchanted for the last thirty years.
