My friends call me Gin, short for Ginny, a nickname for Virginia. I don't like to be called Virginia because, as I was growing up, the only time I ever heard the name was when I was in trouble, so please, call me Gin. I came to be a voracious reader a bit later in life than most, getting hooked when I was about 30. Since then, I'm never without a book. I know, that somewhere deep inside myself, there is a book waiting to come out. I'm hoping that by joining this prolific writing community, I will be able to pull it out and get it down on paper. In the meantime, I'll read and write and learn, here, with all you fine people.
