A short poem about walking into the light and taking the path laid out before you. |
-Into The Light- by Keaton Foster Do you see Dare believe Into the light No longer Darkness and fright Is it death Relevance suggest But it’s something more An eternal escape A ladder going up A staircase going down Such a final place Defined before this day Repentance means nothing Absolution won’t reduce The direction that stands apparent Understanding will weight you down But you have no choice Into the light You must go For better or worse Means nothing Escape is your only god Your master of the end Fearless and willing To take you where it is That you alone must go Those who remain Will be saddened in many ways They will never know Of your fate and your way A ladder going up A staircase going down A direction that you must take There is only one choice One path to be traversed And long before today It was chosen by you And the decisions that you have made Into the light you must go The first step will be the hardest Each one after that is something else… Into The Light Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
