That Money Pit.... I Mean That Camper Van Again
That Money Pit....  I Mean That Camper Van Again

We brought the Campervan home yesterday so we could drive it on a short trip to Murphysboro, Illinois tomorrow.  It's been in two places all winter really.  At the airport (Yes airport, parking is free there!), and at Kathy's Sister's house in nearby Leroy, Illinois.  Her sister and her husband have been snow-birding it somewhere in the south since December.

When I started the van, the Check-Engine light was on.  I wrote about this yesterday in
"Estate Sale.  I took it to the same shop (I think that shop is getting rich off me.*Laugh*).  As I said yesterday, Advance Auto told me the code was about the Exhaust, they couldn't tell me what exactly though.

Today the shop told me it was a sensor, that needed to be replaced first.  If it was still 'throwing error codes', then it was most likely the board.  The sensor had to be replaced first though.  I'm beginning to feel like we purchased Campervan on it's last legs.  That's not really true, but it sure seems like it.  I think it's been sitting too long, since we bought it, and before we got it.  I feel you need to give these things a little 'exercise'.

I plan on giving this van that exercise.  Short trips that I have in mind are:

         1.  Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  We were there in 2002, sent there to redo a class when a senior instructor had customer complaints about his delivery.
         2.  Holland Michigan & their Tulip Festival
         3.  Garden Of The Gods here in Illinois
         4.  North Platte Nebraska.  There are a couple of things to see there.
         5.  This is a wish list item.  Yellowstone National Park, + Mount Rushmore + Devils Tower, and whatever else we can see.
         6.  Then of course, our major trip to Maine to enjoy all the Lobster we can stand.  I guess we'll see.
