Conservative upbringing. Age 17 I told my parents I am gay.. Catastrophe! Silence hover over our house for weeks. Acceptance came slowly, but Dad couldn't understand how 2 men can love each other. (He still loved me though) Then aged 26 Aids struck - me the victem. Same routine, but they still loved me and my partner. He passed away 2002. Life's reality hit me hard.
