Most of my life I've had jobs that forced me to: Research, Investigate and sometimes Enforce. Yes, in some of those jobs I had to fight. I was raised mostly in and around Chicago, but went to school in South Dakota, New York, Wisconsin and Kansas among other places. (not at the same time) When I finished my graduate work I went to work and took whatever wasa available...whether I had any idea of what the job was or not. I owned a restaurant, and an insurance agency, and worked for hotels, motels, country-clubs and even governmental agencies, (not at the same time).. Fortunately, my characters have more interesting lives than I've had.
