I've always put myself down by saying I'm a technical writer, not a creative one. Technical writing was safe, and I felt comfort in dealing with its formatting and rules. I've always had the desire to write creatively, but I've feared the judgment of not being "good", "talented", or "creative" enough. Every now and then, that urge to write creatively breaks free of my own self restrictions, and I allow myself to submit some writing for the judgment of others. Be gentle, as I take everything to heart.
