I, Daphne Matthews, have been married for twenty-one years and am the mother of two adult boys. I am also a grandmother to a two year old girl. I have always enjoyed imagining places that take me away from real life. When I was ten, I wrote my first poem and have been writing ever since. I understand that there is a difference in writing for yourself and writing for the public eye, and I do both. I have two published books: Only Seventeen and Images of America: Hiltons -- which I co-authored with my husband. I am very proud of both.
