Amateur hockey players are lucky to find a rink. The bleachers are bare, or are they?

Hey you down there!
Do you hear the cheers?
as you place the puck
so neatly there,
between the pads,
goal-bound.

Hey you smile-eyes!
Can you feel the cheer?
up in the bleachers bare,
where those who loved
you while they lived,
love still.

Hey you old man!
You'll join us soon enough;
but, for now play on
and give us thrills,
our silent cheers
heart-bound.
