Remembrance

A beautiful, but sad poem about love... lost

The radiance of your eyes is my light,
your melodious voice my music.
Your touch is my electricity,
your hugs are my safety.
Your love is my reason for living.

I wake up each day just to see your face,
I count the minutes 'til I can hold you.
I can't bear the thought of you not in my life,
promise you'll never leave me?

Waking up to your smile is a dream come true,
I revel in your amazing beauty.
Kissing you takes my breath away,
but I would gladly suffocate to kiss you forever.

Then my eyes start to tear,
my body tremors with sobs.
These images still linger in my head.
I open my eyes to painfully realize,
it was all a memory;
I had forgotten you were gone.
