To see something but can't feel it... That's what this is all about

I can read the compass, but I can't read the map
I can see the North Star, but I can't see the sky
I follow the signs, but I'm not sure which way to go
I listen to directions, but I don't understand
I feel the heat, but don't see the flames
I see the movement of the trees, but don't feel the wind
I feel the cold, but don't see the snow
I'm starting over
Not knowing what to do
