A poem about the person you love leaving you.

Looking out on a moon lit beach,
Longing to touch you,
But you're just out of reach.
Right here beside me but miles away too,
Your face shows a saddness,
I just don't know what to do.

I've been here beside you ,
Every step of the way.
Now you turn away from me,
Not a whole lot left to say.
I've loved you from the beginning,
Right up to the end.
But we're quickly drifting apart,
Like a whisper on the wind.

Stop. Take time to look,
Before you say goodbye.
Stop. Take time to look,
Look deep into my eyes.
You'll see a love there,
A love that won't soon part.
I never will forget you,
For I love you with all my heart.
