Though I had worked with the terzanelle back in January of this year (2003), the double cinquian caught my eye, and I had a good grasp on it. For me, this form was a stepping stone, as it inspired me to tackle more difficult forms, forms I've tended to favor as of late. Thus, I haven't written many double cinquains since I first worked with the form, and future use of the form is uncertain at this time. My poetry usually evolves from complex ideas, and truncating them into such a brief form is challenging at best. Maybe the double cinquain will reemerge from the darkness and once again take center stage in my poetry.
