A night alone in a hotel room.

Alone in this hotel room,
Wishing you were here.
This pillow is but a reminder,
Of what is missing.

Wanting the sweet feel of your skin,
To drown in your eyes,
Tender kisses in the dark,
Promises whispered so only we could hear.

I'd giggle as you told me a joke just for us.
Then with a sigh,
Sleep would wrap us,
Together in its warm embrace.
