PITY PARTY

Everyone's invited!

Having a Pity Party,
Come just as you are!
I don't care how you get here
By train, or plane, or car.
Stay as long as you like,
Make yourself at home!
Help me through the loneliness
And throw the dog a bone.
I'm serving lots of goodies
For you to munch upon;
There's Despair Cake and cookies
(The heart-shaped are all gone!)
There's Teardrop Beer and ale
No need to have a thirst;
There's Sad little pastries,
And oh, it could be worse!
Remember that you don't have to bring
Anything at all;
I have my Crying Towels
Hanging on the wall.
There's Iced tea, cold as the heart
That left me here to cry;
It will be quite a party
You may not want to say Goodbye!
I'll share a hug with anyone -
I know you need one too;
Come to my Pity Party
Cause I'm feeling mighty blue!
Friends may come and friends may go,
A fact that is well known -
But true blue friends are welcome here;
They won't leave me alone!
When I am feeling better
And I can smile again,
You'll be so proud to know me
And that you helped me win!
