Butterfly If I had to choose another life One vastly different than my present state I would hesitate not one bit To pick a metamorphosis fate. I would emerge as a beautiful butterfly With colors so bright and true, A floating, dreamy butterfly Of red, orange, yellow and blue With spread out wings I'd flutter about Flying 'round to and fro Then lazily stopping to take a rest Upon a blooming flower below. Then darting away Through the sun's golden shower, Only to gently flutter back And land again on the very same flower. Given another choice for my simple fate I would stay with my butterfly wings Repeating my journey again and again While the joy of my happy heart sings. This song I would give to my Creator So happy to repeat this sweet fate. 'Till once again I pass through Heaven's Gate. ![]() |
