This is what happens when you ignore yourself. When you throw your voice under the bus, you throw your life under the bus.

Pt 1.

Dad was born in 1911, the last-born of twin fratenal boys in Guthrie, Oklahoma. These twins were born the day after the Fourth of July. Who knows how hot the day was.
Dad's brother was born a perfectly healthy black baby, but he himself...well, he was born with every kind of problem imaginable...psoriasis (the worst case in the family in five hundred years), bad eyesight, a bone growing inside one of his ears partially blocking his ear drum, lighter skin tone than his brother. As they grew, his brother became taller than him was, he was more reserved, while Dad turned out to be more loud and extroverted, and he went further along in school...but that was later. But overall, his fraternal brother became normal in seeming every way while, to Dad's admission, he got the worst of the afflictions. Even the dog he loved very much got run over by a car.

One day, when they were both fifteen, their mom who was sitting on the front porch at the time, sent Dad to the store to buy some peanuts. When he got back and gave the bag to her, she was eating them when one got stuck in her throat and she choked to death.
