| Mark woke up, in the middle of the night, with a need to go outside. He wasn't questioning it, or wondering why he had to do it, or contemplating the meaning of why he had to follow the need to go outside. He wasn't the dumb type, but he wasn't skeptical. He had a feeling that his mom wouldn't like him sneaking out of the home at the witching hour. It took a whole, but he found his Batman slippers. He wanted to get in the mood. He had no other option if he wanted to sneak out. So, he put them on, and wished for the best. He first tried walking down the stairs. Step by step by step by ste- CREEEAK Amanda was awoken from her dreams of Mark’s father by a creaking noise, and Mark was standing still, outside of her field of vision. Amanda brushed it away, and went back to bed. Mark stayed there for a while, then started crawling on all fours to lessen the noise. It took him 5 minutes to get to the door, but he made it. The door was creaky, so he pushed it a tiny bit, and squeezed through. He saw two people standing outside. One had an tattoo on his left eye, and was short and sickly. Mark could make out an brown mullet beneath his cowboy hat. The other was around a normal height, with some glasses on. His thin blond mustache complemented his black suit and red tie. An white baseball cap, with an mysterious black symbol on it, created an image of strength and power, with an inch of haughtiness. Mark could swear he saw a third figure in the background. It was wearing an white hoodie, and it was leaning on a telephone pole, looking at Mark. Mark blinked, and the figure dissapeared. The baseball cap guy said “Welcome, Markus Tryst. I would advise you to check your pockets before we explain everything.” Markus checked his pockets to find the disc. It was looking at him. “This might be shocking to you, but simply follow my orders.” The disk began to spit out an white substance. It covered Mark from head to toe. “Do not question the fusion process. Just let it go. Do not resist. Become your destiny.” Mark was too tired to “resist”. He just let go. It was 3 in the morning. No sane person would be awake then. When he woke up, he was in a suit of armor. There were two horns branching out of his helmet, which had a splitting jaw guard in place of a beaver. Scales covered his body, and he could feel two wings on his back. He felt a tail ripple and bend to the back of him, and claws flicking in and out of his gloves. If you could see it, you would say it was magnificent. He could feel an absence, however. He could feel wings, but they were sealed up. Like they were clipped. That hurt. He couldn't help but ask, “When the blazes will I get my wings?”. Baseball cap simply laughed. “All in good time. But for now, I'd like you to do me a… favor. Look forward.” Mark saw two sets of armor. One was built for a fat person, with a wide chest and large waist. An black hammer lay in the helm on the back. The other was more feminine, with a light waist and slimmer build. This one had a trident in its arms. “Do you remember Imogen and the other one,who was he…Guy? Yes, Guy.” Cowboy Hat said. His voice was slithery and dry. Mark saw drool escape his … jaws?, and hit the road where it burned through the gravel. “Deliver this to them after school. You know which armor is for which by now.” Baseball hat finished by saying, “All shall happen in good time.”. They walked off, and Mark snuck back in. Just as he was about to go back to sleep, he swore he saw the guy in the hoodie standing on his lawn looking at him. ++ So, I watched an bit more Soul Eater. What the heck is Medusa planning with Soul? Also, I watched the new ep of jjk. Yuji's need for an hug grows exponentially the longer he's near Kenjaku's schemes(and Sukuna, but he's with him all the times anyways). Anyways, as usual give constructive criticism on the novel.
