Each is filled
With the anticipation
Of home

Do they share
More than
A seat?

Are they a pair
of dice rolled
By circumstance?

Much later
At the terminal
They separate.

In different Directions
Not speaking or
Looking back.

Neither realizes they
Missed an opportunity
To substantially narrow
