Little Things; Take Two

More of the sublime littles

More little things
that give me joy,
that make me smile--
beyond my hubby, my favorite boy!

A phone call from a friend,
the first hibiscus bloom,
the satisfaction
of a newly cleaned room.

A text from the kids,
a lovely review,
freshly mown grass,
love these all I do!

Coffee with a friend,
grandkids and greats,
first bite of warm banana bread,
restraint rewards: losing weight!

A delicious nap,
a silly dream,
a well-written chapter--
It's all part of the scheme.

The biggies in life are oft overwhelming,
and rarer by far than the simple stuff.
And finding joy in the little things
is what keeps me going and is enough!
