Captain Paws set sail one day,
On the good ship Woof-Hooray!
A parrot perched upon his hat,
A pirate proud, and round, and fat.
“Arf!” he barked. “The map is shown.
We’ll find that fabled treasure bone!
Through muddy waves and grassy seas,
We’ll sniff the wind and chase the breeze!”
His loyal crew, a barkin’ band
A poodle, pug, and mutt so grand
Raised the flag with tails held high,
A skull and bone against the sky.
They braved the storm of buzzing fleas,
And sneezed through salty ocean breeze.
But Captain Paws just grinned and growled.
“No storm can stop the brave or proud!”
At last beneath a shady tree,
Where squirrels chattered wild and free,
They found the chest, all cracked and old.
Inside, a bone of gleaming gold!
Now Captain Paws naps by the shore,
Dreaming of daring quests once more.
And if you listen near the foam,
You’ll hear him bark, “We’ve brought it home!”
