On Veterans Day: A Tribute to Our Heroes

A tribute to our brave veterans - a poem.

On this Veterans Day 2025,
Countless Americans honor
The service men and women
And troops
Whose tremendous sacrifice
And courage have conveyed
The ultimate strength and commitment
To our nation’s safety,
Prosperity, pride,
And dignified scope.

Recruitment has focused on the poise
Of constricting diplomacy and imploding gravity.
The methods of involvement
Are being thoroughly questioned.
Lucid and antagonizing elements
Are signaling and executing
Prodigious attacks on their sovereign,
Foreign neighbors -
And plotting the ghastly and horrifying ruination
Upon The Land of Freedom -
The Stars and Stripes’
Mellifluent shores;
While the injured and lionized,
And wounded status
Of our veterans
Exerts a deathly and demonizing destruction
Upon our nation’s
Upward and onward,
Conscious grip…

There appears a heightened disregard
For denigrated and hopelessly at risk populations
And religious communities of legitimate worship.
And the mental and physical shape and tone
Of our young people are relying
On resiliency, reciprocity, togetherness,
And acceptance for their managed
And pleasing celebrity inklings
And prolific urgency and tolerance…

Our brave and needy veterans
Must continue to further
The accountability
Of the foremost citizenry.
Scarred vets of past, present, and current
Scenarios are urged to reinstate and advance
The most enlightened ventures
Of prosperity, caring, and vision -
Trustfully seeking a primary, new nexus
And a glowing, subjective aura…
Their kind and deserving souls
Inviting a dedicated resurgence
Against the backdrop
Of our grateful freedom’s highest peaks -
The status of enduring national pride
And conviction
Recapturing the dawn of America’s
Religious and noble sentiments -
While evincing and evoking determination
For our nation’s supreme
And lofty goals.
