Big Ben

Eight line poem

Throughout the years old Big Ben,
Has chimed the time and gonged the hour.
Recently silenced it rings again,
That famous bell in its famous tower.
What would London be without its sound?
It chimes on the quarter, the half, and the hour.
You can rely on the time when you hear it resound,
From that elegant, stately, magnificent Tower.
