Free verse. Firing shots back at Shakespeare for fun. |
| To be or not to be? I fought to be! before I ever begged the question. I deserve to be, I earned the right to be, whomever I want to be! Open arms, laid bare, may still bear scars of suffered wounds. But surely ‘tis nobler to live once more, After flesh has been resewn; for to die: to cease; heartache; no more; and by dying, end thousands of natural fortunes Life is heir too. For in this peace, this sleep; dreams you say may come, may not, so take pause. For we may find this mortal coil frayed, Severed from the dreams only living may give rise to. ‘Tis devoutly to be wished. To dream, to breathe; to dream: perchance to live! One must be to question, so ought to beg. Will, to be? ‘Tis answered in its asking. |
