almond chicken & egg rolls with sauce—a feast you would

remember—that feigned indignation when you

clumsily worked the chopsticks—apparently you love

eating with fingers—you threw that napkin at me—

laughter filled the corner—and you wondered if

she would like spiced hot tea as much as you

did—we settled on Rain Man—we both knew

that movie through reviews—bought tickets—you got this

stuffed toy in the claw machine—i wanted something—a thing—

soft and my own—but someone tried for a purple one for her—said that i

wanted popcorn—i could almost hear you say—i do
