A poem for kids who love their plush toy animals |
| Why do the stars come out at night? Do you know what makes them bright? When clouds rumble and hide them away, Where do the stars go and play? Here’s a secret I’ll share with you, About a stuffed toy cow with nothing to do. He rests at the head of a bed just like yours, And when he’s asleep, dreams up magical tours. His favorite thing to do, is dream awake stars For me and for you. That’s true! The sky is so big and wide, There’s plenty of space for stars to hide. It’s why they blink and wink And just when you think You’ve seen them all, A shooting star may come and call. You’re cuddly toy animals are his friend On that you can well depend. So next time you get to sleep outside Don’t go to sleep, open your eyes Hug your favorite toy animal pet. How many stars in the sky can you see and get? 22 lines |
