A predator meets a formidable opponent. Who will claim victory and who will surrender?

In the clearing fog that once concealed,
a looming figure was now revealed
to a predator, who stood quite near,
whose eyes were suddenly dark with fear.

Would powerful jaws and gnawing teeth
be enough to win from underneath
such a dominant one, grand in height,
who had good speed and could also fight?

One brutal kick is all it would take,
the fight would be a deadly mistake
so the smaller, weaker, spotted one
turned on his heel and began to run.
