The concept is about as simple as you could ask for. The right of everyone and anyone to live a life of their own choosing. It can also be the most complicated of issues. The right of one person to own the destiny of another, and to have the authority and the opportuinity to be able to choose to permanently and irrevocably terminate their existence.
