No, he doesn’t understand how this woman, this new client he’s been asked to help, can be part of both hunts. No, he refuses to see how this client, the woman he had known while in college, before meeting Vanessa, could be associated with ONE of the men trying to find the cavern he may or may not have seen in real life and brought into two novellas. No, she was not that kind of woman, to use him like this.
