Serene Calmness

Ataraxy1

Inhale the serenity
of a new and wondrous day
as dawn's light sheds tranquility
across verdant gardens.

Blue birds and nightingales
serenade roses and hollyhocks,
ripening vegetables and fruit,
blooming hyacinth and phlox.

Close your eyes and contemplate
the serene joy of nature,
let your mind wander at leisure
through mental paths of pleasure.
