Tilly is sure she’s under surveillance |
| It may have been her guilty conscience but Tilly was sure she’d been followed after she’d left her lover’s house. She had told her husband there was an after-work office meeting, but somehow she’d felt Brian hadn’t believed her. Was he having her watched? She stopped walking on the pretence she was intrigued by a shop window’s display of power tools. Yes, she was almost sure the man lighting a cigarette under the light of the street lamp was watching her, until his girlfriend or wife appeared and he kissed her. Tilly was almost disappointed. She went home to confess. |
