The day I ate a daisy
I was more than halfway crazy
& in love, without an answer, do

The day I smelled a rose
a thorn went up my nose!
I sneezed with a painful achoo

The day I touched a poppy
I was feelin' kinda sloppy
& it doped me down to sleep

The day I saw a lily
I was laughing, being silly
so I named it Juan Philippe

The day I heard a mum -
- where did the sound come from?
I was deep inside a dream

The day I met Queen Anne
she offered lace, & I began
to detect a floral theme!
