Just because she needs to know.

Butterfly



The cocoon burst
and a dazzling butterfly emerged
even though
she didn't know it yet.

In focus,
we see her
better than she
sees herself.

Outside?
She's beautiful.
Inside?
She is far more so.

She's getting there,
beginning to see
what we've
always seen.

Her wings are
drying in the sunlight,
soaking in the warmth
of new worlds.

And soon, those wings
will quiver and she,
she will find it in her
to truly fly.

And no one
will ever be strong enough
to catch her, no matter
how strong the net.

Be with her, yes.
Fly alongside her, yes.
Once she accepts the knowing--
she will be unstoppable!
