Free Time

Did you set your clock back? (Spring ahead-Fall back) Here is your hour, to use for free.

What would you do with a little more time?
Twenty-four hours does not seem a crime.
But full sixty minutes makes the hour we lost in spring.
And today we get it back, without any extra cost or anything.

I would stay in bed and catch up on my beauty sleep.
Or maybe in the garage, I'd clean up that ugly junk heap.
I still need to walk for the exercise I need.
But then there's a garden that I had planned to weed.

I will make a special list and really try be fair.
I can either bake a cake or go wash my hair.
I could shop for Christmas, that sounds okay.
So while thinking what to do, I frittered my hour away.
