A Valentine's Day Poem |
The subjects covered by many a source, Yet, all continue to ride the same horse. From the works of Bill Shakespeare, his flowery words handily appear. To the songs of many Sinatras, voices rising like sacred cantatas. It's driven by some hidden force. Unstoppable, unrelenting, of course. Piercing hearts with an arrow-shaped spear, a cherub named Cupid is near. Opening us up like Pandora's, the feeling igniting our auras. It conquers with little remorse, taking us prisoner in its vital force. There truly is little to fear, as long as you know whom to hold dear. Behold Love's Splendid Chorus and all it promises for us.
