Confronting the Passing My Beloved Parents |
| I believe there is a God. Growing up I was taught there is a God. His physical image changed. But His power to reward and punish was undeniable. I was taught virtues, morality, respect for elders and to honor my father and mother. I am so blessed, privileged to have had my parents for so long. I stand at the threshold of a new decade an orphan. If only I can have one day more…. I don’t. I never will again. May you who isn’t an orphan yet love and honor your parent/s. It doesn’t matter that they do not see, do not know, do not understand, cannot imagine. It doesn’t matter even if they got it all wrong. Just let them/him/her not see, not know, don’t understand get it all wrong. It’s hard to grow old be old and useless inconsequential dependent. Just love and give all you can for you may never have another chance. |
