Delicious fruit

How to describe this tropical treat?

On the table with colors shining
Salmon or yellowish dining
So bright, a rounded ball
with parts exquisite and small

O treat under the sun
makes my mouth water run

My nostrils engage in scent so fine
Odors of wind and light intertwine
Sunshine and herbs are in you
Lay down your skin, please do

O treat under the sun
makes my mouth water run

The coat a roughed field
softness of structure is yield
Two halves make one whole
like the Dutch soccer’s goal

O treat under the sun
makes my mouth water run

Soft and spicy, aqueous your slice
Sweet on the tongue, advice
to eat scrumptiously and eager
is saying less and too meager

O treat under the sun
makes my mouth water run

Silence is golden, you split
when splashed on the floor, on the grid
I hear the name Lawrence
as I describe an Orange

O treat under the sun
makes my mouth water run
