Sadness

A very short poem about the sadness that's been living inside me for the last month or so.

Sadness,
one that’s taken a permanent place
in this vessel, I call my body
trying desperately to submerge my soul
to conquer the little light
that’s left in me
and leave me behind
in a vessel without its light
drowning me slowly
'till I'm no longer to be found.
