My Inspiration

As I lie here wondering
About things yet to come,
I have found an understanding.
No longer feeling numb.

Some say the future is not set,
That you determine fate.
And I for one will not let
My fate determine me.

This chain is only as strong
As its weakest link.
So mend the link. Make it strong.
If not, your ship will sink.

We like to sit back and stare
At the deepest cracks.
Don’t think it is too much to bear,
Instead fix what it lacks.

If we think ourselves the smaller ones,
The ones that do not matter,
The bigger one fights. The smaller one runs.
So don’t end up the latter.

To say to you that you are missed
Is a helpless, sad condition.
Instead be strong. Keep keeping on.
And make progress your mission.
