| Stars twinkling, illuminating the path for the man in red with his reindeer flying at warp speed I watch at the window, staring into the dark, and then it happens … the Christmas miracle Small, white crystals falling as though tipped from someone high above, seasoning the earth with his soft, silent spice Warm gloves and scarf accompany my excitement as I run outside and jump into the falling flakes; tongue sticking out, I spin in circles, trying to catch a tiny, frozen gift In no time, the world becomes a freshly fallen wonderland, and my heart skips to the beat of snowflakes, pitter-and-pattering on my head, the air stills, all is quiet, until the whooshing sound as a snowball hurtles past my ear … this is war 33 Lines Form - Free Verse Entered into:
