Contest entry for July 2018, Christmas in July Poetry Contest |
| Heavy snow clouds fill the sky. Pretty soon the flakes will fly Over field and city, here and there, They’ll cover just about everywhere! Frozen statues in the park Will look like dragons in the dark! And drifts of snow mount up so high You’d think that we could touch the sky! Excitement fills the children’s hearts With skis and skates and snowman parts And sleigh rides over snow bound hills- No fancy or un-needed frills. Hours spent in happy play Will follow new snow’s first birthday. Laughing voices celebrate, Hurry snowfall, we can’t wait! |
