Transformation

This was inspired by finding myself after a long and difficult journey.

Today I emerge
From the chrysalis
I have been growing in
My transformation complete

I unfurl my wings
Open my eyes
To the beautiful
New being I have become

Look up to the skies
Breathe in the fresh air
Brace myself for takeoff
And launch into the unknown

Floating on the currents
Taking in all that is around me
Allowing the wind to take me
Wherever it will

Adjusting my direction
Only when I am ready
To learn just a little more
About this sparkling new world
