The past few days have brought me an entirely different perspective
Deciphering your clues
Following the messages you sent me
Sometimes silently
Sometime directly
Always inconspicuously
Yet each of them purposely leading me to your door
(you hid in plain sight)

Starting from the beginning
Your flashes of anger
Lashing out at me
For Angels
And Brads
And staying

But it was much deeper than I imagined
Voids and divisions that you neglected to tell me about
Only to find out unexpectedly
The Sahara
(you protected my feelings)

The cryptography was difficult
Each of your messages
Strategically designed to confuse me

What I found behind your mask
Was hurt and anger and love
Your fragile heart
Like mine
Broken

I am sorry.

You've tricked a lot of people
My Cheshire Cat
Even securing the ultimate betrayal
(I doubt he has any idea its you)

I am not angry at you
I am sad at our failure to communicate
It is what it is
As it has always been between us

Cryptography.
Our inability to figure each other out.
