A poem for my children |
| Innocent Hearts Now that "you've won", It really begins, No rock to dive under, No hole to hide in. Creeping in shadows, Of zero's and one's, Glowing eye's lock their target, Another father is done. Since when did our men, Become so quiet and weak? No chance against women, Who harbour mean streaks. Our children the victims, Their hearts on the floor, Tears caused by their parents, No-one looks as they walk. So forever we'll pay, Because change takes too long, Big societies lost children, Our ticking time bombs. When they begin to act out, From the pain of their loss, Will you talk of their father, Or the ball that you dropped? How can you be mother? Keep the devils at bay? When you sacrificed your children, For such a little thing as hate? Xx |
