A PROUD MOMENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE NAME MCPhedran .

The name Mcphedran which is my name was made famous, when
Neil Mcphedran was the only boat man who agreed to sail Robert the Bruce
to Scotland during a horrific storm.

Bruce was hiding and his friends were to send a message by lighting a fire when it was safe for him to return to Scotland, but Bruce was mistaken for instead of the signal from his friends, farmers were burning their fields.
Bruce went into battle and claimed the right to be King of Scotland.
