Acceptance

A free verse poem.

Facts can attack with deadly force,
Hitting people without any notice.

The truth will combat positive thoughts,
Turning happy memories into negative emotions.

We cannot fight the existence of reality,
So battling change is a winless war.

Dealing with acceptance is challenging,
But can be controlled through coping.
