a Short poem about finding spiritual meaning in unlikely places. |
| Man I found my God in a one ribbed fury Of tears, funeral bound I climbed the stars and Caressed the soft night till blood ran dry and Dusk reverberated in my heart now Lovelorn, the flesh of time buckled under Pressure, still blinded by his crooked sores. I am my man and his thoughts are mine, mine As we walk through twisted spires hell bound. I received my revelations under A wicked sky, tomb- side I sang and I saw the The roots of change, which were all dust in time. Man holds a dragon in the heart and mind. I am my man and through his wills I walk On water, an exile far from Eden. His flaws are mirrored in my bush burnt smile Yet sands of time shift for Him and I. The moon, still dancing in our charnel eyes Though they are blinded by his crucifix, where Bloodied, His wrists, His hands grab out as if To bless the very ground our feet are stood upon Held down by the dogged horizon, the stars Are all shapeless and formless in His light. I am my man. Heaven born. Coffin torn, Watering down the original sin. |
