The dancing began.
A midsummer's evening of hope, love and laughter.
Then the angry soldiers came
and took with them my love.

To the dead, the orphaned, the homeless -
what difference does it make
if destruction is done
under the banner of democracy or not?

This poem was written for the Paper Doll Alumni Challenge—Mirrored Voices "Invalid Item"  And we didn't win... The judges did not understand genius :)
