A poem about love. What else? |
| I’ve never even held her hand For several years she’s known where I stand I’ve dibbled and dabbled with other girls But I’ve always wanted to give her the world. She’s always been there, through the hate And the times when I wasn’t so great. The phone calls so late get on her nerves, But she will never know the curves That thanks to her I’ve gone around Without hitting anyone or coming unwound. She’ll never see how her smile Can turn a person most vile Into the nicest for just an instant And make them feel significant. I used to be that boy on the mountain Who looked all around, doubting Who I could trust and who was my friend But I know she’s here until the end Even if we’re just friends forever. And it’s loads better than having never Met her at all. If she ever does fall, I’ll always be here to catch her. |
